Drink the Lukewarm lemon water with Honey in morning

As soon as you get up in the morning first thing you have to do is to drink one glass of lukewarm water with fresh lemon juice and one spoon of honey added into this.  Diabetic persons can consult their doctor before using this. You can avoid adding honey if it is not possible to take. This will energize you in the morning and also it has the ability to flush out the toxins from your body. It will also cleanse your stomach and liver.

Do some kind of Relaxation activity

In the morning you can do some relaxation activities like yoga, meditation or any other stress release activities.  It will alleviate stress. Stress is the major causes of weight gain and also it has interference in our metabolic process.  Once stress is alleviated, it will give positive effects in maintaining our health. When you are happy, your digestion and the metabolic system will work better.

Do some kind of Exercise daily

Take 3 meals throughout the day without snacking

Ayurveda suggests to take 3 meals throughout the day and skip the snack. The first meal should be taken between 7 AM to 9 AM and it should be a heavy meal. The 2nd meal should be taken between 11 AM to 1 PM which should be the heaviest meal of the day. The last meal should be taken between 6 PM to 8 PM and it should be the light meal of the day.

The Agni which is responsible for digestion is strong in the morning time. It is very strong at noontime and slows in the evening time.  If we are not eating our foods according to the strength or weakness of Agni, there will be a problem of digestion which will lead to an accumulation of toxins in our body.

Ayurveda recommends eating foods at a fixed time daily because by doing this our body prepares itself to do the necessary activities related to digestion which is very good for our body.

Eat Lots of seasonal fresh vegetables, Fruits and other Fibre Foods

Ayurveda recommends eating fresh seasonal vegetables, fruits, and other fiber foods to help our digestion and metabolic process to do their best. It will ensure that all foods are properly digested and no toxins are created. When there will not be any accumulation of toxins and our channels are clear, there wouldn’t be any weight gain. Eat digestive herbs & foods

There are many digestive herbs which we use on our daily basis. Ayurveda recommends using these herbs along with other foods to help the digestive system to digest the foods properly. If the foods are digested properly, there wouldn’t be any toxin in the body.

The common digestive herbs and foods are Lemon, Ginger, Mint, cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, fennel seeds, Cumin and Fenugreek seeds.

Include the foods which have all 6 taste

Ayurveda recommends eating the foods which have 6 taste to balance the metabolic process. If we include the all 6 taste foods in our diet, there wouldn’t be any toxin accumulation because our body’s digestion and the metabolic process will work efficiently and in harmony.

The six taste is sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent. We have to include the foods according to these six taste. If these foods are not balanced in our foods, it will create a bad effect on our whole system and will lead to weight gain apart from other abnormalities.

Do not drink water immediately after food

Ayurveda recommends not to drink water immediately just after food. It recommends drinking water 30 minutes to 1 hour after finishing the food. It also recommends not to drink water just before the meal. You have to drink water for about 30 minutes before you start your food. You can take a small water sip during the meal to swallow the foods but not much water. The reason behind this is not to hamper the Agni which is responsible for digestion.

Also, you have to drink adequate water throughout the day to hydrate your body well and to flush out the toxins from the body. Drinking water adequately also help in controlling weight gain.
